William Jennings Nealey

William Jennings Nealey, Sr., 89, of Hialeah went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

He was born to the late Clyde John and Sally Viola Riddles Nealey on May 12, 1935 in Graceville, Florida. Bill graduated from Hardee County High School in Wauchula in 1953 and served in the U.S. Army from 1953-1956. He then attended St. Petersburg Bible Institute from 1956-1958 and married Ann Putorti on May 24, 1958.

Bill and Ann went on to serve in ministry. Bill was a pastor in Ybor City before being called to go to Puerto Rico for two years to be a missionary and church planter. He and his young family then moved back to Florida where Bill pastored several churches in the Miami area. In 1981, Bill was called to serve as a missionary to Haiti. He established Mission To Haiti that year. Mission To Haiti continues to minister to Haitians today. He and his family have been active members of Plantation Baptist Church for the past 16 years.

Bill is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann Nealey of Hialeah, his two children Andrea Webb of Hialeah, and Bill (Sherril) Nealey, Jr. of Miami. He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on Monday, July 8th from 6:00-7:30pm and the service will be held from 7:30-8:30pm at Vista Funeral Home at 5755 NW 142nd Street Miami Lakes, Fl 33014. The burial will be held on Tuesday, July 9th at 11:15am at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Founder' Challenge fund of Mission To Haiti.
