Walter
I am my father's son He liked fast cars, women, and reading. One of my fondest memories was when he would take me to the race track with him and find me a seat in the bleachers near the track so I could watch him run quarter miles in his Chevelle. He was a man of few words. He was chill and not quick to anger…except for the time he chased me with his belt after I shot my sister in the leg with my BB gun. I recall driving with him one sunny day with CCR playing on the radio and his book on the steering wheel so he could read at lights. He would let me sit on the tailgate of the station wagon when we would go to the neighborhood dump to "keep the trash from falling out" even though he knew perfectly well I just wanted to live a little dangerously. I hope his wings make him fast. See you on the track one day, pop.

Valerie

I knew Bill Kniffin as "Dad," my hero, advisor and supporter. He was always there in my time of need, a shoulder to lean on and full of surprises. One of my fondest memories was when he came home with a sloth. Flower lived in our house for a short time before she was donated to the Crandon Park Zoo. Our house was the most popular one on the block. Not much of a talker, but he did like to have fun. I'll always remember going to Halloween Horror Nights with him. Neither of us scare easily, but it was a blast watching others jump and scream! Two peas in a pod, as they say. I will miss my Dad, but find comfort knowing he's in a better place and out of pain. I love you Dad and will see you again some day. RIP.
