W M Kenneth Davenport, age 90, went to be with his Lord,
March 19th. Ken was born in Portland,
Tennessee, to his parents, Roosevelt
and Lola Davenport. He was predeceased by his sister, Lemorah Rohmann.
He served in the United States Marine Corps during the
Korean War. Upon his discharge, he was employed by B & B Chemical Co. for
63 years.
He served as a Deacon in three Baptist churches and was a
member of the Gideons.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Leathia Jane; son,
Robert (Carole); daughters Janet Davenport, Jennifer (Dean) Chang, and Joanna
(Chris) Bray; six grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Spindle, Conrad Davenport,
Catherine (Vincent) Giovannoni, Brandon (Grace) Chang, Joshua Davenport, and
Christopher Bray; and three great-grandchildren, Brady Chang, Audrey Spindle,
and Jocelyn Giovannoni.
A visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 29th from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Vista Funeral Home, located at 5755 N.W. 142 Street, Miami Lakes,
FL. 33014.
A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, March 30th at 1:00pm at Vista Funeral Home.
A processional will begin at 2:30pm into the cemetery, Vista Memorial
Gardens, for the
entombment service.
