Viola Lorenc

Viola Legiel Lorenc passed away after a brief illness on May 6, 2021 at Springfield Place in Newberry, SC.

Viola was born on July 11, 1924 in Lorain, Ohio, and moved to Miami, Florida, in the 1940's, where she met and married Stanley Lorenc, a decorated World War II veteran. She worked into her 70s with the Miami-Dade School System in Florida. Her wanderlust led her to travel throughout the Americas, Europe and Southeast Asia. She is survived by 2 children, Linda Sukovich of Newberry, SC, Joyce Dickerson of Miami, FL.; her grandson, Michael Sukovich, and great granddaughter, Livia Sukovich. Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, her 2 sisters, Wanda Revercomb of Miami, Jeanette Fields, and her brother Edwin Bolden, both of Elyria, Ohio.
