Santiago Pujol

Santiago Pujol, age 93, passed away on Saturday, February 6, 2016. Santiago was born on April 24, 1922 in Santiago de Cuba (his namesake). He graduated from college in Cuba with a degree in Accounting and went on to own the Harley Davidson dealership in Santiago de Cuba. In 1966, he and his wife, Abigail, fled Cuba and settled in Miami, Florida. He was a kind and compassionate soul and a man with great work ethic and artistic talent. He loved the Lord, adored his wife, and found joy in his family and friends. All who knew him, loved him. Santiago is preceded in death by his parents, Jose and Maria; brother Juan; and sisters Teresa Gonzalez and Gladys Pujol. Santiago is survived by his wife, Abigail; sons Santiago (Yolanda) Pujol and Alex (Janette) Pujol; daughters Graciela Sanchez and Deborah (Allen) Mortham; nine grandchildren Michelle Toral, Gabriel Pujol, Daniela Pujol, Michael Sanchez, Juliette Pujol, Jilienne Pujol, Allen Mortham III, Sofia Mortham, and Jeaninne Pujol; great-grandchildren Ethan and Adrienne; siblings Mary (Jose) Garrido, Esther Sanchez, and Jose (Aurora) Pujol; and many nieces and nephews who also loved him. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Easter Seals South Florida. We are extremely grateful to them for their care and support.
