Rodolfo St Marie Beguiristain, 92, of Hialeah, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 with his family by his side.
Rodolfo was born to Gustavo Beguiristain and Clare Genevieve Higgins on June 28,1934 in New York City, New York. He was the youngest of six. His siblings from eldest to youngest were Gustavo, Clara Eugenia, Jose Maria, Raquel, and Antonio. In 1938, the family moved to Sagua La Grande, Cuba. He studied at Colegio de Belen in Havana and began law studies at the University of Havana. He enjoyed practicing judo for many years as an adolescent and young man.
Rodolfo met his sweetheart Mirna Iliana Bravo at the Miramar Yacht Club in Havana and married her on March 31, 1962. On December 24, 1965, he left Cuba with his wife and in-laws Rufino Segundo Bravo and Antonia Del Collado to Mexico City and arrived in Miami, FL in February 1966. He worked at McArthur Dairy for 40 years. He was a faithful parishioner at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Hialeah for 60 years. Rodolfo enjoyed reading, walking, and swimming. He was a selfless and loving spouse, father and grandfather and found out four days before his passing that he has a great grandchild on the way.
Rodolfo is survived by his wife and two sons Patrick (Gladys Giz) and Robert (Lourdes) Beguiristain. He is also survived by three grandchildren Kevin (Taryn), Giselle, and Helen Beguiristain and Patrick Oliva.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 31, 2026 at 10 AM at Vista Funeral Home in Miami Lakes , FL, followed by mass at Immaculate Conception at 1:30 PM, and burial at Vista Memorial Gardens at 2:30 PM .
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Food for the Poor.
