IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Jo
Hynes
March 9, 1934 – March 24, 2026
Visitation
Mausoleum Entombment
Vista Memorial Gardens
1:30 - 2:00 pm (Eastern time)
Patricia Jo Hynes passed away peacefully in her home in Plantation, Florida, on March 24, 2026 at the age of 92. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend—truly everyone’s favorite.
Born on March 9, 1934, in Miami, Florida, Pat lived a life defined by love, strength, and devotion to her family and friends. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and dedication, touching the lives of all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vouncie Roseman Cochran and Joseph Marion Caudell, and her seven siblings: Boyce Caudell, Mary Lee Hunton, Burgess Caudell, Elum Caudell, JJ Caudell, Eldridge Caudell, and Fleecy Noll.
She is survived by her loving husband of 71 years, Vincent Hynes; her son, Thomas Hynes, and his wife, Leonor Hynes; her grandchildren, Christopher Hynes and his wife Kristy Hynes, and Tara Buckhalter and her husband Matt Buckhalter; and her four great-grandchildren, Logan, Leighton, Reid, and Elliot. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and dear friends who will miss her deeply.
Pat found joy in serving others, especially her family and friends. She attended Miami Jackson High School, and after a friendly bet on Miami Jackson beating Miami High in 1951, she began dating the love of her life, Vinny Hynes, whom she later married. Her greatest joy and most important role in life was being a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother.
She especially cherished time spent with her grandchildren, Chris and Tara, at “Camp Nana” in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. Her gift of hospitality was evident in the many friendships she maintained through the Miami Springs Women’s Club, her bridge groups, neighbors, and the many supportive roles she played in her husband’s work activities.
Her legacy of love, compassion, and service to others will live on through those she leaves behind. She will forever remain in our hearts.
A visitation will be held on April 10, 2026 at 10:00 am followed by final placement in mausoleum at 1:30 pm.
