Norma Amparo Valdes Lloret
Oct. 30, 1934 - Jan. 20, 2022
Norma was born in Caibarien, Cuba and was the only child of Nelio Valdes and Isolina Guevara. She studied, worked and lived in Cuba until leaving in 1961 due to the takeover of the communist regime.
Norma was married for 67 years to Luis Lloret, who she is survived by. Together they have 7 children, 13 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Norma loved the simple things in life and loved doing small things extraordinarily well. She loved the journey that life handed to her and truly made the best of all situations, giving selflessly to her children. She made the best of everything. She was an incredible cook, she loved to dance with her husband, loved the beach, loved desserts and coffee time, dressing up, laughing, loved to knit and lastly, loved to watch TV to stay current with pop culture actors and actresses.
Norma was the matriarch of the Lloret family. Through her life, she taught all of us and leaves her legacy of Faith in God. Her love of family and friends, family unity, patience in adversity, peace, joy, kindness, goodness and faithfulness will resonate and live in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that you go to your closest Catholic church office and ask to offer Mass for her in her name. She would have loved this. Please join us in celebration of her life.
Condolences and prayers can be shared with the family via the online guestbook.
