Nellie Kish
April 12, 2022
Nellie Kish passed away peacefully on April 12th at 96, surrounded by
prayer and her loving family.  She is survived by her husband Louis of 71
years of marriage. She was the oldest sister of 7 siblings, survived only by
the youngest brother Timothy Pinder. Nell was born in Miami, an area she
spent her entire life in and where she met Louis after his WWII service.
They met at a roller rink, went on to marry in 1950 and have 4 children-
Keith, Cathy, Kim & Chris - which created an amazing extensive family of
10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
They moved to the City of Hialeah in 1962, where they raised their family
and lived until moving to an assisted living facility in Cooper City in 2016.
Nellie volunteered at school, supported her kids in the Girls and Boy Scouts
and was an active member of her Methodist church family. She was ahead
of her time when she worked at the RC Cola Factory in the 1940s in
today's popular Wynwood Walls area followed by years at Black Angus
restaurants as a bookkeeper and other jobs to help her family's finances.
Nell was beloved by her entire family and network of many friends and
church goers over her long life. Always referred to as kind and loving by all
her children and grandchildren she was the 'life of the party' and enjoyed
celebrating everything from birthdays to baby showers, graduations,
holidays and more with dancing, food and a good time wherever she went.
