Marta Jaramillo

Marta Jaramillo, 89, Pembroke Pines, Florida, passed away on January 5, 2017. She is survived by her 7 children: Martha Jaramillo-Maxwell, Maria (Henry) Lieberman, Nicolas Jaramillo, Diane Jaramillo-Guard (Michael), Raul Jaramillo (Maria E. Socarras), Stella Jaramillo & Alfonso Jaramillo; 5 grandchildren, Lauren Maxwell, Natalie Maxwell, Jonathan Lieberman, Nicole Jaramillo & Gina Jaramillo; 2 siblings: Galileo Del Pinal (Leslie), Glenda Brafman, niece Elena Ciccone & nephew Jeffrey Del Pinal.

Marta was born in Guatemala and raised in El Salvador. She studied languages in Tulane University in New Orleans where she met the love of her life and husband, Raul Jaramillo Pardo. They moved to Bogota, Colombia where they had their 7 children. The family moved to the United States where they made South Florida their home.

Marta was a devoted mother and grandmother. Her life was dedicated to her children and grandchildren. Her greatest joy was to have family and friends gather in her home. She loved to care and give to all who were in need and very selflessly devoted herself to helping others. Her legacy will continue to be kept alive through her children and grandchildren in continuing her devotion to the many organizations that where close to her heart.
