Marie Renia Salvador

October 19, 1951 — December 12, 2024

Marie Renia Salvador, affectionately known as "Sister Renia" or "Sister Salvador," passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at the age of 73, surrounded by her loving family in Miami, Florida. Born on October 19, 1951, in Leogane, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Esaie and Julianne Theodore Elie. Sister Salvador attended Catherine Flon High School and later married Ulrick Salvador in 1977. The couple lived in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and in 1998, Sister Salvador and her children joined her husband in Miami.

Sister Salvador was widely known for her warmth, generosity, and the deep love she shared with everyone around her. A skilled seamstress with a passion for fashion, she was particularly adept at clothing creation and alterations. As an active member of First Discipleship Community Church, she was deeply involved in the church community, where she enjoyed singing, reading Bible stories to her grandchildren, and spending quality time with her husband and family.

Sister Salvador is lovingly remembered by her children Ketia, Nadege, Hill Renald, and her adopted children Maude and Christelle. She is also survived by her stepchildren Fritzner and Claudy, son-in-law Daniel Jacques, and Samy Baptichon. Her siblings, Christian, Meres, and Mark-Elie, and those she raised Tabitha, Michael as well as her sister-in-law Andrea Samedi, as well as her beloved grandchildren Kevin, Ryan, Camila, Camaya, Serenity, Ethan, Eiden, Nayla, and Abigail, hold her memory close.

Sister Salvador's extended family also includes numerous nieces and nephews, such as Mathieu, Amos, Elorne, Samuel, Jonas, Cliford, John King, Yanick, Dina, Marlene, Thamar, Marcelin, Peguy, Francoise, Maudelais, PetiteSoeur, Peterson, and Fabiola, Ezulda and Aselie

She is joined in rest by her daughter, Claudia; her father, Esaie; her mother, Julianne; her sister Eloude; her sisters Eliane and Clautide; her brother Mark; and many other loved ones who preceded her in death. Sister Salvador's reach was as far as it was wide, and she was cherished deeply by many.

Her legacy is one of unyielding kindness and generosity. Even when she had little to spare, Sister Salvador continued to give and help others, even while sick or in pain. She never faltered in caring for her loved ones more than she did for herself. Her life is a testament to the power of love, compassion, and selflessness.
