Loria Elida Gonzalez

Loria Elida De Cespedes Gonzalez, 89, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2024 with her family by her side.

Loria Elida was Born in Palma Soriano, Cuba to Ismael De Cespedes and Maura Justina Pinera on March 23, 1935.  She married the late Raul Emilio Gonzalez on June 26, 1960. They relocated from Cuba to the New York City, United states, living shortly in Puerto Rico, Connecticut and New York, before settling in Florida where they raised their three Children, Elizabeth, Beatris and Natalia.

Loria was a homemaker in every sense of the word as she put her family first in all of her actions.  She was the Godmother to many children and throughout her lifetime was the caretaker to the children of family and friends alike, many calling her their 2nd mother.

Loria is survived by her Children Elizabeth, Beatris and Natalia; her Grandchildren Gabrielle, Andre and Sarah as well as countless God-Children, family and friends.

Loria lived as one should, with love and compassion for family and friends alike.  Her door was always open for anyone who needed a friend to talk to, a helping hand, a meal or just a cup of Cafecito before or after work. She LIVED, laughed and loved with all her heart.  Her presence in our lives will be missed, but her memory will always be cherished by all whom she touched.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2024 from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM at Vista Funeral Home 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL  33014 and will be interred on Monday December 9, 2024 at 10:30 am at Vista Memorial Gardens 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL  33014.

Loria Elida De Cespedes Gonzalez, de 89 años, falleció el miércoles 4 de diciembre de 2024 con su familia a su lado.

Loria Elida nació en Palma Soriano, Cuba, hija de Ismael De Cespedes y Maura Justina Pinera el 23 de marzo de 1935. Se casó con el difunto Raúl Emilio González el 26 de junio de 1960. Se mudaron de Cuba a la ciudad de Nueva York, Estados Unidos, y vivieron brevemente en Puerto Rico, Connecticut y Nueva York, antes de establecerse en Florida, donde criaron a sus tres hijos, Elizabeth, Beatris y Natalia.

Loria era una ama de casa en todos los sentidos, ya que ponía a su familia en primer lugar en todas sus acciones. Fue la madrina de muchos niños y durante toda su vida fue la cuidadora de los hijos de familiares y amigos por igual, muchos la llamaban su segunda madre.

A Loria le sobreviven sus hijas Elizabeth, Beatris y Natalia; Sus nietos Gabrielle, Andre y Sarah, así como innumerables ahijados, familiares y amigos.

Loria vivió como se debe, con amor y compasión por la familia y los amigos por igual. Su puerta siempre estuvo abierta para cualquiera que necesitara un amigo con quien hablar, una mano, una comida o simplemente una taza de Cafecito antes o después del trabajo. Ella vivio, rió y amó con todo su corazón. Su presencia en nuestras vidas será extrañada, pero su memoria siempre será apreciada por todos aquellos a quienes tocó.

Se llevará a cabo una velación el domingo 8 de diciembre de 2024 de 6:00 p. m. a 10:00 p. m. en Vista Funeral Home 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014 y será enterrada el lunes 9 de diciembre de 2024 a las 10:30 a. m. en Vista Memorial Gardens 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.
