Lilí Rodriguez went to heaven on July 22, 2025 at the age of 95. She was born in Cuba on November 30, 1930. Lilí came to the United States in July of 1962 with her husband, Raul and her daughter. She later gave birth to her son, Raul, in 1964. The family lived in Hoboken for many years where she worked as a seamstress for the International Lady Garment Worker's Union. The family later made Miami their home in 1979. Lilí was married to Raul for nearly 45 years when she became a widow in 1993. She remained very independent for more than 30 years and enjoyed living in the home that she shared with her husband. She was a dedicated mother and grandmother and made the most of her time with her family. She is survived by her children Raul and his wife Marisel; Olga and her husband Jorge; and her oldest son Enrique Soto. Lilí is also survived by four grandchildren, Noel Rodriguez; Daniel Lopez; Lilita and Sergio Enrique Soto.
Lilí's most proud accomplishment is that she was able to get her entire family and her husband's family out of Cuba in the 1970s. Thanks to her tireless efforts and unwavering resolve she managed to bring 36 members of the family to the United States so that they could live in freedom. Her greatest pride was to call herself an American.
She was a very devoted wife, mother and grandmother and she will be terribly missed!
A visitation will be held on July 28, 2025 from 10am to 2pm at Vista Funeral Home. The burial will follow immediately after the viewing at Vista Memorial Gardens.
