Laura "Pick" Edmondson passed away on August 4, 2017, after a brief illness. Pick was born in Fort Pierce, Florida on September 27, 1923. She served in the SPARS branch of the USCG during WWII as a member of the SPARS band, being stationed in Washington D.C. the majority of her years of service. Pick earned a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Florida. Later she worked many years in the music publishing business as a music proofreader until retiring in 1993. Pick was an avid tennis fan, having been a long-time member of Shula's Athletic Club in Miami Lakes. She always said she wanted to die on the tennis court, and she almost made it.
Pick is survived by her daughter Jo Edmondson, son Tod Edmondson, sister Mary Clapp, and grandchildren Robert, Jack, and Henry Edmondson, and Isaiah and Iris Mann.
The family plan to celebrate her life during the Christmas holidays.
