Lady Mantecon

Lady Angela Mantecon, 87, of Hialeah, passed away peacefully at home Sunday, June 8, 2025, with her loving family by her side.

She was born to the late Felix & Eloisa Torres on August 2, 1937, in Marianao, Cuba. She married the late Nicanor "Macho" Mantecon in 1958 and were happily together 67 years.

Lady was a loan processor at Bank of America for over 20 years. She was highly admired by all her co-workers, who quickly became her friends, and was held in high regard by her superiors as an exceptional employee.

She also made a profound impact through her charitable spirit, generously donating not only material items but also her time to the non-profit organization His House, always showing a warm and compassionate heart for the displaced children it serves.

She is survived by her children, Marta, Teresa, Mercedes, Antonio, and Lourdes. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren, Lazaro, Anthony, Jessica, Charles, and Janelle, and 4 great grandchildren, Rocco, Lila, Zachary, & Penelope, brother Guillermo, sister-in-law Antonieta, god-daughter Annette, niece Patricia, sister-in-law Teresa and husband Mario.
