Julia Gladys Portal

Julia Portal, 86 of Hialeah Florida died Friday January 21, 2022, at her home with her kids Danilo and Maria Elena by her side.
She was born to the late Manuel Blanco and Nieves Cabrera on October 13, 1935, in Havana Cuba.
She started working as teenager in Cuba in her mother's beauty salon where she learned the trade.
She migrated to the United States from Cuba during the Freedom Flights on January 19, 1968, with her husband Danilo and 2 kids, leaving everything behind to start a new life in the US.
She became widow in 1982 when her husband Danilo passed from cancer, she dedicated her life to care for her handicapped daughter and helping the family in any way possible. "No" was not part of her vocabulary.
She was a tenacious entrepreneur creating independent sales organizations, with Tupperware, Avon and her own company TPF Associates (The Portal Family) selling water filters in south Florida.
She loved to travel with the family specially Italy and Spain and had special inner gift in helping others, her family was number 1. God is love and in her presence that was, what she transmitted. She used to say often "I always be with you"
Julia is survived by her children Danilo and Maria Elena her daughter-in law Diana. She is also survived by 2 grandkids Sandra and Danilo Jr. and two great grandchildren Julian and Gabriel.
Funeral Services will be at Vista Funeral Home on Monday January 31st from 6-10 p.m.
