Juana Mireya
Suarez
Aug 9, 1937 — Aug 28, 2026
Mrs. Juana Mireya Delgado Suarez, lovingly known to everyone as Mireya, was born on August 9, 1937, in Matanzas, Cuba. She passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, August 28, 2026, at the age of 89.
Mireya married Felix Roberto Suarez on April 19, 1963. In October 1969, seeking a better future for her family, she traveled to New York with her oldest son, Roberto Enrique, whom she lovingly called “Robertico.” Her beloved husband joined them the following year, in 1970.
Together, Mireya and Felix worked faithfully to build a better life for their family and achieve the American dream they had envisioned. Their younger son, Jose Antonio, was born in New York in 1970, completing their family. Ten years later, the family moved to Miami, Florida, where Mireya made her home for the next 45 years.
Mireya graduated from the Instituto Nacional Mercantil in 1954. Continuing her education, she received her high school equivalent diploma from the University of the State of New York on October 2, 1975.
In the United States, Mireya built a successful career in banking and finance spanning more than 20 years. Yet her greatest accomplishment was the family to whom she devoted her life. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and the heart of her family.
Mireya offered unwavering support, guidance, and wisdom to those she loved. Through her strength, faith, and dedication, she shaped the lives of her children and grandchildren and created a legacy that will endure for generations. From leaving her beloved Cuba to building a new life and career in the United States, she embraced each chapter with courage, grace, and purpose.
She is survived by her two sons, Roberto Enrique Suarez and Jose Antonio Suarez, and her four beloved grandchildren, Alex, Christopher, Gabriel, and Michael.
Her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.
May she rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of those whose lives she touched.
