Juan Ramon Rodriguez, 84, of Miami, FL died December 13, 2025 with his family by his side. Juan, lovingly known as Ramonin by most of his friends and family, was born on January 21, 1941 in Guantanamo, Cuba to Ramon Maria Rodriguez and Juana de la Mercedes Suarez. He is survived by his two children Karina Rodriguez-Matzen of Boynton Beach, FL and Ramon Rodriguez of Miami, FL.; and by his sister Rosario Lemus, of Miami, FL. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Gabi, John Raymond, Izzy, Nicole, and Juliet.
Juan was a political prisoner in Cuba and loved this country for the freedom it gave him and his family. He was very involved in the municipalities of Cuba in exile societies and was the President of the municipality of Guantánamo in exile society for many years. Juan was an avid reader, a history buff, a lover of baseball, a great joke teller, and, above all, a dedicated father and loving grandfather.

Juan, conocido cariñosamente como Ramonin por la mayoría de sus amigos y familiares, nació el 21 de enero de 1941 en Guantánamo, Cuba, de Ramón María Rodríguez y Juana de la Mercedes Suárez. Le sobreviven sus dos hijos Karina Rodríguez-Matzen de Boynton Beach, FL y Ramón Rodríguez de Miami, FL.; y su hermana Rosario Lemus, de Miami, FL. Juan era un preso político en Cuba y amaba este país por la libertad que le daba a él y a su familia. Estuvo muy involucrado en los municipios de Cuba en exilio y fue presidente del municipio de Guantánamo en exilio por muchos años.
