Juan Ernesto Lauzardo

Juan Ernesto Lauzardo, 96, born July 19th, 1929. Died peacefully on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 3:30 pm. Juan Ernesto, lovingly called "Nesti" by his late wife, Dolores "Lola" Lauzardo Romero, and "Juancito" by the many dear, close friends he had throughout his life, was a man of character, principle, gentleness, and love. The expression "he would give you the shirt off his back" is commonly used. And in Juan Ernesto's case, it most definitely applied. If one ever needed to find the perfect example for what the "head of a family" is, they wouldn't need to look any further than Juan Ernesto Lauzardo. A man of humble beginnings. Born in the tiny village/town of San Antonio de Rio Blanco in Cuba. His Father, Juan Lauzardo, & Mother, Alicia Machado, ran a small store, a colmado, in San Antonio. It's here that Juan Ernesto learned at an early age the responsibility of hard work to provide for his family, as he ran the Cane Grinder (sugarcane juicer) outside the store. That apprenticeship marked his life as a fiercely hard-working and loving provider for his family and anyone who asked for his help. Juan Ernesto held many jobs throughout his life, all marked by the same desire for excellence. And above all, his love of family, especially for his beloved wife of over 70 years, "Lolita," stands out as a pillar and example for anyone to admire and follow. Juan Ernesto is survived by his loving son, Jorge Ernesto Lauzardo and Marta Lauzardo; his beloved grandchildren, Michael Anthony Lauzardo and Miriam Mestre; Dr. Nicole Fein, and Gabriela Lauzardo; great-grandchildren, Mateo and Maven Lauzardo; daughter-in-law, Maria Antelo Sydnor; sister-in-law, Hilda Monteagudo; nieces and nephews, Teresita Monteagudo and Frank Chavez; Moriama Fernandez and Carlos Fernandez; Rene Hernandez and Odalys Hernandez.
