Josefina Encarnacion, affectionately known as “Fini,” passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2026, at the age of 83.
Born on January 17, 1943, in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Fini was the beloved daughter of the late Antonio Monel and Catalina Guadalupe.
Fini was the rock of her family—a woman of remarkable strength, unwavering character, and deep compassion. She was known for her generous heart, selfless spirit, and the love she shared with everyone around her. Her wisdom, kindness, and steadfast support touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Juan Encarnacion; her three sons, Juan Jr., Antonio, and Gregory; her cherished grandchildren, Juan III, Lunna, Lovieann, Mia, Kyle, and Paryss; and her beloved great-grandchildren, Zoë and Zayda.
Fini’s love, strength, and legacy will live on through her family and the countless memories she created with those she loved. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.

A small service will be held at the Chapel at 12:00 p.m. Family and friends are warmly invited to attend as they gather to celebrate Fini’s life, honor her memory, and say their final goodbyes.
