Jose Martí, a successful business owner, traveler, baseball and soccer lover, who was devoted to his family and friends. He passed unexpectedly on May 15th, 2021 while at his happiest, watching his grandson play baseball. He was 60 years old, but lived a full life surrounded by love and happiness.
Jose was born in Havana Cuba on August 2nd, 1960. After living in Spain for a brief period, he moved to Florida and eventually started his business and successful career. Through his work, he made many lifelong friends, and created many unforgettable moments.
Jose is survived by his wife, Krista Martí, children, Jose Javier Martí, Gema Martí, and Adriana Elyse Martí, parents, Jose and Hilda Martí, his brother, Javier Martí, and his 4 grandchildren Eddy, Lucas, Giuliana and Giancarlo.
Jose was a devoted family man. He worked hard everyday of his life to provide for those around him. Traveling was his passion and he made sure to visit many places all over the world, especially Spain, where he planned to retire. He loved soccer and baseball, and received great pleasure watching his grandson pitch. His second home in the Florida Keys, was where he found most of his peace, and enjoyed spending his downtime there. He loved family and friends above all else. To him, his friends were also his family.
Jose was known for his hardworking nature and quick wit. He could always make everybody in the room burst into laughter, because when telling a joke, he carried laughter in his own voice. His sense of humor is something that will be sorely missed by all who knew him. His presence will surely be felt by family and friends, when remembering times spent together.
