Jose Miguel Basto, born on May 8, 1936, in Cuba, passed away on June 24, 2026, in Pembroke Pines, Florida, surrounded by the love of his family. He leaves behind a legacy that will continue through the many lives he touched.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Ana Luisa Basto, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and family.

He leaves behind his beloved children: Ana Ibis Garcia (Juan Carlos), Jose Miguel Basto Jr. (Lisa), James Basto (Jeanette), Dania Estrella Basto Liranza, Danisol Basto Liranza, Marco Antonio Basto Liranza, and Alejandro David Basto Liranza.

He is also survived by his cherished siblings, Julio Basto, Katy Basto, and Justina Basto.

His legacy continues through his 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him immense pride and joy. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.

Funeral services honoring Jose’s life will be held on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate his life, share memories, and pay their final respects.
