Joel Dieujuste was born December 31st, 1961 in La Pointe, Haiti to Joseph Dieujuste and Julianna Augustave. His one and only brother, Fontanes, was born a few years later. Joel was always interested in education and learning. By his teenage years, Joel earned his reputation as a smart, kind, and reliable man in all situations. Joel met a young Lisena Obsaint residing in Freeport, Bahamas. They started to fall in love, but Lisena had to leave to travel to America. Joel eventually made his way to America seeking a better life with educational opportunities and to reunite with the woman he began to fall in love with.
On March 24, 1990, Joel married Lisena and they began building a family together in Miami, Florida. He would reach out to help family and friends alike. Always saying "No problem" to almost every request. Joel became a jack of all trades (he was able to do everything) to support his family. His love for family was only surpassed by his love for God.
He made sure to share the word of God throughout his life. Constantly praying and even preaching when given the opportunity. At a young age, his eldest daughter had reflected on everything he'd done for her and said "God blessed me with a wonderful and great dad." Everyone who has had the opportunity to speak with Joel has been met with smiles that reflect his wonderful personality or biblical references to help them overcome a situation.
Joel worked as a press operator with Southeastern Printing for most of his years in the US and he enjoyed working on his home. Taking on home improvement projects and gardening were his favorite hobbies. Many people loved the mangoes and other fruits gifted to them. Joel often enjoyed drinking a hot cup of tea after a day's work.
On December 4 th of 2021, Joel answered the voice that said "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28).
