Joaquin D. Herrera, Sr., born on January 30, 1935 in Guanabacoa, Cuba passed
away on March 28, 2024.
He is survived by his children Alicia Dieguez (Jose Dieguez), Zulema Leon (Rene
Leon, Jr.), Ana English (Scott R. English, MD), and Joaquin Herrera, Jr. (Georgia
D. Stobaugh). His 13 grandchildren Chrystal Herrera-Cabret, Steven Cabret,
Diana Visk, Joseph Cabret, Janette Dieguez, Rene Leon, Anthony Dieguez,
Melissa English-Planz, Rachel English, Adriana English, Joshua Herrera,
Cassandra Herrera, and Landon Kingsley. His 10 great-grandchildren Leo
Herrera, Ayden Cabret, Addyson Cabret, Anthony Cabret, Linnea Visk, Nicholas
Cabret, Alora Leon, Macy Leon, Anders Visk, Lydia Cabret, and many nieces and
nephews.
Joaquin was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco Herrera and Josefa
Lopez, his siblings, Pedro Herrera-Lopez, Francisco Herrera-Lopez, Jose Herrera-
Lopez, Berta Herrera-Lopez, and his loving wife Zulema, who he now joins in
heaven.
