Joan Cristina Lange-Kennedy, born in Brooklyn, New York, passed away on November 15, 2025, surrounded by love and family. She was the daughter of William Lange and Cristina Viet, who instilled in her the strength, compassion, and creativity that shaped her life.

Joan devoted 37 years as a nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Hialeah Hospital, where her calm presence, skilled hands, and deep compassion brought comfort to countless patients and families. She was also a gifted author, writer, and artist, publishing several children's books that reflected her imagination, talent, and love for storytelling.

A woman of strong faith, Joan was a longtime member of Saint Kevin's Catholic Church. Her favorite prayer was the Hail Mary, reflecting her devotion to kindness, grace, and trust in God.
