Javier Santos

Javier Santos, cariñosamente conocido como "El Bárbaro," falleció en paz el 19 de febrero de 2026, a la edad de 82 años. Fue un hijo, hermano, padre, abuelo, tío y amigo amoroso y profundamente querido.

Nacido el 3 de diciembre de 1943 en Guanajay, Cuba, Javier llevó su herencia con orgullo a lo largo de toda su vida. Después de llegar a los Estados Unidos, una de las primeras decisiones que tomó fue enlistarse en el Ejército de los Estados Unidos. Servir a su país fue un gran honor para él, y llevó el título de veterano con profundo orgullo y gratitud por la oportunidad de servir.

Por encima de todo, Javier fue un hombre dedicado a su familia. Compartió una hermosa historia de amor con su querida esposa, Mercedes, durante más de 50 años. Su unión estuvo llena de devoción, fortaleza y un profundo cariño. Cuando Mercedes falleció hace ocho años y medio, una gran parte de él se fue con ella. Quienes lo conocieron sabían cuánto la amaba. Hoy encontramos consuelo al saber que están reunidos una vez más.

Javier encontraba alegría en los placeres sencillos de la vida. Le encantaba jugar dominó y esperaba con entusiasmo pasar tiempo en el Centro de Personas Mayores junto a sus amigos, donde las risas, la competencia y la amistad llenaban el ambiente. Esos juegos de dominó eran más que un simple pasatiempo eran momentos de conexión, orgullo y compañerismo que le brindaban felicidad.

Deja un legado de amor a través de sus hijos, Javier Santos Jr. (Netalie Sivan) y Rosa Maria Diaz (Luis), y de sus adorados nietos: Jaden, Noah, Fiona, Maddison y Chynna. Se sentía inmensamente orgulloso de su familia y encontraba su mayor alegría al verla crecer. Su fortaleza, sentido del humor, resiliencia y amor incondicional vivirán en cada uno de ellos y en las generaciones futuras.

Javier será recordado por el orgullo que sentía por sus raíces, su servicio a su país, su devoción a su familia y la calidez que compartía con quienes lo rodeaban.

Javier Santos, lovingly known as "El Bárbaro," passed away peacefully on February 19, 2026, at the age of 82. He was a loving and cherished Son, Brother, Father, Abuelo, Tio and Friend.

Born on December 3, 1943, in Guanajay, Cuba, Javier carried his heritage with pride throughout his life. After coming to the United States, one of the first decisions he made was to enlist in the United States Army. Serving his country was a tremendous honor to him, and he wore the title of veteran with deep pride and gratitude for the opportunity to serve.

Above all else, Javier was a devoted family man. He shared a beautiful love story with his beloved wife, Mercedes, for over 50 years. Their bond was one of devotion, strength, and deep affection. When Mercedes passed away eight and a half years ago, a large part of him went with her. Those who knew him knew how deeply he loved her. We find comfort in knowing they are reunited once again.
Javier found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He loved playing dominos and looked forward to spending time at the Senior Center with his friends, where laughter, competition, and companionship filled the room. Those domino games were more than just a pastime — they were moments of connection, pride, and friendship that brought him happiness.

He leaves behind a legacy of love through his children, Javier Santos Jr. (Netalie Sivan) and Rosa Maria Diaz (Luis), and his treasured grandchildren: Jaden, Noah, Fiona, Maddison, and Chynna. He was immensely proud of his family and found his greatest joy in watching it grow. His strength, humor, resilience, and unwavering love will live on in each of them and in the generations to come.
Javier will be remembered for his pride in his heritage, his service to his country, his devotion to his family, and the warmth he shared with those around him.
