It is with great sorrow that the Wisniski family announces the passing of Jane D. Wisniski, age 89. Jane passed away on the morning of July 1st, 2026, and was born on September 19th, 1936, in Cambridge, MA. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, and a widow of 16 years; her husband of 43 years, Victor J. Wisniski Sr. having passed on June 16th of 2010. An elementary school teacher with Miami-Dade County Public Schools for 25 years, she held a Master’s Degree in Education Administration, retiring in the year 2000. She was also, up until the last two years, an active member of the South Florida Ukrainian American community.

Jane is survived by her daughter, Kathrine A. Wisniski, her son, Victor J. Wisniski Jr., her son in law, Derek A. Verhoorn, daughter in law, Kelli L. Wisniski, and grand-daughters Viktoriya J. and Alexandra A. Wisniski.

The viewing will be held on Friday, July 17th from 6pm to 10pm at Vista Memorial Gardens at 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. The Funeral will be at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, 39 NW 57th Ct, Miami, FL 33126, at 9:30am on July 18th. The burial is at noon at Vista Memorial Gardens.
