Ilene Premer

Ilene Premer (Ullman), 68, passed away September 9,2023 surrounded by family members and friends,
following a year-long brave battle with cancer. Nearly a lifelong resident of North Miami, (Ilene's parents
moved from Cincinnati when she was age 2), Ilene enjoyed and excelled in several careers ranging from
public school art teacher to highly acclaimed travel agency owner. Ilene was very involved in her
children's education at Miami Country Day School where she assisted in the classroom with art projects
and served as President of the school's Parent's Association. Ilene's warm and caring nature was
highlighted by her infectious laugh. She was fiercely proud of her family, husband Howard, son Blake,
daughter and son-in-law Courtney and Jorge Barragan, and granddaughter Sienna. She is survived by her
mother, Rita Ullman, sister and brother-in-law Valerie and Bruce Shirck, brother and sister-in-law
Howard and Laura Ullman, and numerous wonderful friends, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Services will be held on Wednesday, September at 13 th at 10am at Beth Moshe Congregation, 2225 NE
121 st  Street, North Miami, Florida 33181, followed by a burial procession to Vista Memorial Gardens,
14200 NW 57 th  Avenue, Miami Lakes, Florida 33014. The family will then hold Shiva and remembrances
at their family residence. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Mt. Sinai
Medical Center Foundation, 4300 Alton Road, Suite 100, Miami Beach, FL 33140.
