Humberto Lopez

Humberto Lopez , 77, of Hialeah, passed away Thursday, October16, 2025.

He was born to Felix and Ofelia Lopez in 1947, in the town of Jaruco located in the province of Havana, Cuba. He was the second youngest of six children. Humberto's strong work ethic and family values were instilled in him early on with the care of a loving family.

In 1970 Humberto married Gladys Rodriguez who was from the neighboring town of Caraballo. This was the beginning of a marriage that would last 55 years. They had two boys, Humberto Jr. and Hulises and lived in Jaruco.

In 1980 Humberto and his young family courageously left Cuba during the Mariel boatlift in search of freedom and opportunity. The Lopez family finally settled in Miami, Florida to start a new life of hard work and prosperity.

Humberto is survived by his wife Gladys of 55 years, Humberto Lopez Jr., Hulises Lopez. He also is survived by five grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy.

Humberto López , de 77 años, de Hialeah, falleció el jueves 16 de octubre de 2025.

Nació de Félix y Ofelia López en 1947, en el pueblo de Jaruco, ubicado en la provincia de La Habana, Cuba. Fue el segundo más joven de seis hermanos. El fuerte sentido del trabajo y los valores familiares de Humberto fueron inculcados desde temprana edad con el cariño de una familia amorosa.

En 1970, Humberto se casó con Gladys Rodríguez, oriunda del pueblo de Caraballo. Este fue el comienzo de un matrimonio que duraría 55 años. Tuvieron dos hijos, Humberto Jr. y Hulises, y vivieron en Jaruco.

En 1980, Humberto y su joven familia dejaron valientemente a Cuba durante el éxodo del Mariel en busca de libertad y oportunidades. La familia López finalmente se estableció en Miami, Florida, para comenzar una nueva vida de trabajo y prosperidad.

Humberto deja a su esposa Gladys, con quien compartió 55 años de matrimonio, a sus hijos Humberto López Jr. y Hulises López. También le sobreviven cinco nietos que le brindaron un inmenso orgullo y alegría.
