Hortensia Abreu

HORTENSIA AMPARO PIEDRA de ABREU , age 98, of Miami, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 3 ^rd , 2021, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roberto Marcelino Abreu, and is survived by her three children, Maria Martin, Robert Abreu, and Pedro Abreu, six grandchildren, Alison Abreu-Garcia, Andre Abreu, Alexander Abreu, Daniel Abreu, Marcus Martin and Chloe Martin, and four brothers, Jose Maria Piedra, Hector Piedra, Orestes Piedra and Alcides Piedra.

A devoted wife and mother, Hortensia took great pride in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and was unstinting in her love, encouragement, and support of them.

A mass will be held on Thursday, October 14 ^th , 2021, at Our Lady of the Lakes Church, with burial to follow in Vista Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her memory to Nicklaus Children's Hospital in Miami.
