Guido H. Inguanzo Jr

Guido H. Inguanzo, Jr. was born on April 26, 1967, in Coral Gables, Florida to his loving
parents, Guido H. Inguanzo, Sr. and Pilar Guisado Inguanzo. As the son of Cuban immigrants,
Guido was raised in South Florida as a Cuban-American, identifying with both his
Cuban/Spanish roots and his American birth and upbringing. Guido attended St. John the
Apostle Catholic School from kindergarten to 8th grade and Monsignor Edward Pace High
School, where he was active in Student Council, serving as the Senior Class Secretary, and as a
Silver Knight nominee in Social Sciences. He attended both St. Thomas University and Florida
International University earning Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Political Science and Public
Administration.
Guido was a devoted public servant and spent his career working in government in various
capacities. From 1989 to 1992, he worked as a Legislative Aide in the Florida Senate. In 1992,
he was appointed the first city clerk for the newly incorporated Village of Key Biscayne and
served in this role until 1996. On June 25, 1996, Guido was appointed to serve as the first city
clerk of the Village of Pinecrest, becoming the very first employee of the newly incorporated
Village of Pinecrest. Guido celebrated his 25th year as city clerk in the Village of Pinecrest in
2021, and considered Pinecrest as his life's work. He is a Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) and
respected as one of the leading authorities of municipal clerks in South Florida.  He was an
active member of the Miami-Dade County Municipal Clerks Association where he served as a
founding member and the organization's first President from 1995-1996. Guido was
recognized by the Florida Association of City Clerks with the City Clerk of the Year award in
2010 for his efforts and contributions to the profession.  He was an avid historian, and took pride
in documenting facts and historical information about his community.
Together with his wife Monica Silva Inguanzo, they share their pride and joy, their son
Benjamin. Guido was a devoted and loyal husband, and a loving and attentive father. There was
nothing that brought him more joy than spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching his
son play sports, especially baseball. And the family enjoyed watching and attending college and
professional sporting events together, including the University of Miami Hurricanes, the Miami
Dolphins, the Miami Heat and the Miami Marlins. In addition, Guido loved planning family
road trips and vacations, having travelled extensively throughout the United States, Canada and
the Caribbean. Guido, Monica and Ben are active parishioners at St. John Neumann Catholic
Church where Ben has attended school since Pre-K 3. Guido was also a food connoisseur, and
delighted in enjoying fine food, craft beers and smooth bourbons, often sharing with friends and
family over a game of dominos or poker. And he was an amazing photographer, who loved to
capture images of his loved ones and create photo books memorializing many wonderful
memories.
Guido is survived by his wife Monica, their son Benjamin, his mother Pilar, and his brother
Ramiro Inguanzo, sister-in-law Gina Moreno Inguanzo, his nieces and Goddaughters Susanna
and Sophia Inguanzo, nephew and Godson Christopher Inguanzo, nephews Daniel and David
Reyes, sister-in-law Rita Grisham, his work family and colleagues at the Village of Pinecrest, his
baseball family, and friends spanning many decades. He was preceded in death by his loving

father Guido, and adoring grandparents Heriberto and Gloria Inguanzo and Ramiro and
Asuncion Guisado.
