Gloria Navas Rodríguez was a caring mother, daughter, granddaughter, cousin, and friend. She left this world suddenly on September 13, 2022 at the age of 72.
She was born to Maria and Juan Navas on April 8, 1950 in Matanzas, Cuba. After graduating high school, Gloria left Cuba accompanied by her mother Maria (Tati) and her grandmother Francisca Martinez (Panchita) and emigrated to West Palm Beach, Florida where she me her husband Pedro Rodriguez. Together they had one daughter, Anna Louisa Rodriguez.
Gloria loved to cook meals, check in on friends, and often spent time caring her for little garden. She loved plants and proudly educated those around her as to the medicinal value of each. Yet, her love was that of tending to orchids. She could identify those with precision, and would spend hours ensuring that each plant received the exact care.
Gloria's spirit and light will live on in a bountiful garden of orchids her daughter Anna will dedicate to her.
She had a small family, as an only child, but does have cousins who will carry her memory in their hearts: Rosario Martinez, Arnoldo Navas, Nora Navas, and Dina Ondarse.
May she rest in eternal peace. May her light continue to shine brightly in the heavens.
