Gloria Argentina Paz Cruz

Gloria Argentina Paz Cruz, 91 years, passed away in Pembroke Pines, Florida, on April, 22nd, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in La Ceiba, Honduras, Gloria came to Miami with determination and built a life defined by strength, resilience, and love. She taught herself English, worked tirelessly, and achieved her dream of homeownership while also building her own legacy- all while raising five children as a devoted single mother.

Gloria was the heart and foundation of her family. She showed her love through cooking, always making sure no one left her home hungry. She found joy in gardening, caring for her flowers, spending time with her beloved dogs, and watching soccer- one of her favorite pastimes.

She was preceded in death by two of her daughters Delmy Martinez-Pitts and Tania Cruz- Jackson, may they rest peacefully. Survived by her three children, Nerzi Tarantine, Alina Cruz and David Cruz. Her grandchildren, Christina, Jevona, Allen, Shawntea’, Joshua, Daniel, Zuria, Romeo, Keedra, Maria, Donavan Jr., and 23 great grandchildren. And a large extended family who will continue to carry her legacy forward.

Gloria will be remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother, and the rock and hero of her family. Her strength, love, and unconditional love will never be forgotten.
