George T Benjamin

George Theophilus Benjamin, a resident of Miami, Florida born on May 22, 1919, peacefully departed on April 18, 2024, at the venerable age of 104. He was reunited with his late wife, Enid Benjamin, his daughter Olivette Christopher, and grandchildren Shomarie and Morville Benjamin.

He is survived by five sons, two daughters, 17 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous other relatives.

Born on the island of Antigua and as an enthusiast of gardening, George cultivated the earth with devotion to sustain his family. Throughout his life, George exemplified unwavering resilience, sharp wit, and enduring strength. Despite his visual impairment, he retained the remarkable ability to discern voices and reminisce about cherished memories, melodies, and Bible scriptures.

Though he may be gone, his legacy of compassion and strength will continue to inspire us all. To celebrate the life of George Benjamin, a wake will be held at Vista Funeral on May 10th from 4pm to 8pm, and a funeral service will be held at Prince of Peace Moravian Church on May 11th at 12pm.
