Frances Lewis Manick, 95, of Cataula, passed away Thursday, November 3, 2016 at her home. Funeral Services will be 12:00 Noon, Sunday, November 6, 2016 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Hamilton. Visitation will be from 11:00 until 12:00 prior to the service. Interment will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016 at Vista Memorial Gardens, Miami Lakes, FL.
Ms. Manick was born April 1, 1921 in Spring Glen, FL, the daughter of Joseph Peter Lewis and Verda Thomas Lewis. She married Frank J. Manick in 1945 who passed away in 1970. Ms. Manick retired as an elementary school secretary for the Miami-Dade Board of Education after 26 years of service. She was a member of the Pine Mountain Valley Seventh Day Adventist Church. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by five sisters: Daisy Marshall, Marylee McDonald, Freda Wemmer, Dorothy Moulton, Jean Ouzts; and her two brothers: Joseph Peter Lewis and Clifford Lewis.
Survivors include her daughter: Cindy Hill of Cataula; her son: Joe Manick and his wife, Debbie of Boca Raton, FL; one sister: Nona Bembry of North Ft. Myers, FL; four grandchildren: Sean Erik (Nora) McLaughlin of Miramar, FL, Traci Lyn (Daniel) Sanz of Delray Beach, FL; and four great grandchildren, Michelle Perez, Michael Perez, Zoey, Ryan Green and Aiden McLaughlin.
