Fr. James Paul Murphy

Murphy, Rev. James, 68, retired pastor of Our Lady of the Lakes Church, Miami Lakes, and St. Patrick Church, Miami Beach, died on February 8, 2014 after a 5 year battle with cancer and 43 years of service to the Archdiocese of Miami. Deeply mourned by his soul mate, Jacqueline Austen, his friend Rose Anderson, his "adopted" daughter, Jacque Gale, siblings, Timothy, Agnes, Geraldine, Bernadette, Madeleine and Denis, as well as the Austen children and countless friends. Visitation and Wake Service at Our Lady of the Lakes Church at 7:30 PM on Friday, February 14, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at 10:00 AM followed by burial at Our Lady of Mercy cemetery.
