Evaristo Gustavo Mendez

Evaristo Gustavo Mendez, 76, of Hialeah, Florida, passed away on February 23 rd , 2023, with his
family by his side.
Gustavo was born on October 26 th ,1946 to Pablo Mendez and Consuelo Hernandez in Havana,
Cuba.
After migrating to this country in 1980 Gustavo worked very hard as a roofer to provide for his
family, who were always first in his life. He was a very giving person who was always willing to
help anyone without hesitation.
In 1970 he met and married his spouse, Gloria, and went on to have 2 daughters Judith and
Damaris.
In 2010, Gustavo retired and spent most of his time traveling the world with his wife. His
favorite activities were playing dominoes with the family and friends, but most importantly
roasting his "noche buena" pig with the help of his brother and grandkids.
He is survived by his wife Gloria, daughters Judith & Damaris, son Gustavo, grandkids Brandon,
Daniel, Giovanni & Nicholas and son in laws Arnold & Lionel.
Services will be held at Vista Funeral Home on March 6 th , 2023, between 10:00am-1:30pm,
immediately following the burial at 2:00pm at Vista Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
