Esperanza Avila, 85, of Hialeah, passed away on Monday, March 30th, 2026 with her family by her side.

She was born on December 18, 1940 in Havana, Cuba. She would later migrate to South Florida in 1960 where she would meet her husband and raise her 2 children lovingly in Hialeah. Esperanza enjoyed constantly pursuing vocational & adult education at her local schools. She loved to enrich herself, and would even achieve her GED High School Diploma from Hialeah-Miami Lakes Senior High in 1978 at the age of 38.

Esperanza is survived by her husband of 61 years, and her son & daughter who cherished her very much to her final days. She had a passion for caring & making a difference in the lives she would touch. She was an amazing and giving mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, & friend that will truly be missed. We thank God for the blessing and comfort she was to us.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 6th from 6-10 p.m. at Vista Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home. A Catholic Mass will be held during the wake. With her burial the following day Tuesday, April 7th @ 12:30 p.m.
