Enrique "Kike" Ferrer

Enrique ' Kike " Ferrer was born in La Habana, Cuba on September 5, 1931, the son of Enrique Ferrer and Maria Cristina Salazar-Herman.

Kike graduated from Candid College in La Habana, Cuba and Mount Saint Charles in Rhode Island, USA. Following graduation he played baseball under the name, Hank Salazar as a pitcher for the Brooklyn Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals, in the late 40 ' s. After suffering a rotator cup injury he returned back to Cuba.

After returning, he married the love of his life, Clotilde Perez, in Habana, Cuba. The two married on October 8 ,1955 . This year they c elebrat ed 70 years as a couple. Kike joined the Coca-Cola company in 1950 as Sales Supe rvisor, then moved up as Manager of Sal es in Venezuela and in Miami, FL until 1983. Kike ' s career as Sales Manager ended in retirement with Gold Coast Beverage in Miami. Kike enjoyed boating, traveling in his RV, working on his yard, playing with his grand kids, watching sports, drinking Johnny Walker Blue Label and being surrounded by family and friends.

Kike is survived by his wife, Clotilde Ferrer ; daughters, Ana Ferrer Padron & Gladys Ferrer Hernandez. Kike was predeceased by his son Enrique ' Bimba ' Fer rer . He is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and blessed to have a 7th on the way.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make a contribution to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, St. Jude's Children Hospital, or The American Heart Association.
