Elena was born to Andrea Vera and Jose Rodriguez on January 2, 1933, in Matanzas, Cuba, the second of five siblings. On September 21, 1956, she married her beloved husband, Eduardo Ramirez, in New York City and went on to raise their family in Bayonne, New Jersey and Hialeah, Florida.
Elena's hobbies included sewing, crocheting, gardening and helping to raise her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She, along with her husband, were founding members of the El Camino Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Miami, Florida.
Elena peacefully passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021. She is preceded in death by her devoted husband and loving brother and parents.
Elena leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren as well as her sisters and many nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends, who love her dearly and will miss her always.
