Eleanor Ruth Pappas, age 83, of Hialeah, FL died unexpectedly on November 12, 2020. She was born May 27, 1937 to Ernst and Ruth Kloss in Detroit, MI.
Eleanor attended Denby High School, Graduating in 1955. In 1956, Eleanor participated in the Miss Universe Contest, was named Miss Armed Forces and Miss DSR May of that year. Eleanor had a lovely soprano voice, was a member of the Don Large Chorus in the late 50's on WJR Radio and an active vocalist/performer into her 70's, participating in musicals at the Cleary Auditorium in Ontario Canada and for many years at various venues as a member of the Northville Players, The Novi Choralaires & the Novi Senior Variety Show.
She is survived by her two sisters, Helene Kloss (OP) of Miami and Louise Kloss of N. Miami Beach, sons Paul Bolda (Yolanda)-Gilbert AZ, John Bolda-Summerville SC, David Bolda (Pashka) Shelby Twp. MI, Thomas Bolda (Mary) Harrison Twp. MI and Mark Bolda (Tara) Cincinnati OH. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, grandchildren & great-grandchildren. Eleanor is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Arthur Bolda and 2 nd husband Joseph Pappas.
A Mass is planned for 10am on February 6 th ,2021 at Our Lady of The Lakes Catholic Church in Miami Lakes, FL, followed by a burial service at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery.
