Edmundo René Gómez, de 94 años, residente de Miami, Florida, falleció el 20 de junio de 2026, rodeado del amor y la compañía de su querida familia.

Nació el 27 de julio de 1931 en Quito, Ecuador, hijo de Rosita Gómez Roa.

Inició su carrera en la Marina del Ecuador a temprana edad y contrajo matrimonio con Ana del Rosario Moya en 1957. En 1971, se trasladaron a Miami, Florida.

Edmundo fue un hombre muy trabajador, cariñoso y dedicado a sus hijos y nietos. Además, fue un miembro activo de la comunidad católica en las iglesias Holy Rosary y Nuestra Señora del Redentor, en Miami Gardens.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Charito; sus hijos, Mónica (esposa de Marcos), René (esposo de Vivian), Jaime, Diego, Javier y David; así como sus diez nietos y tres bisnietos.

Edmundo vivirá por siempre en la memoria y en los corazones de toda su familia.

Edmundo Rene Gomez, 94, of Miami, Florida, passed away on June 20, 2026, with

his loving family by his side. He was born to the late Rosita Gomez Roa on July 27, 1931 in Quito, Ecuador. He

started his career in the Ecuadorian Navy early in life when he met and married Ana

Rosario Moya in 1957. In 1971 they moved to Miami, Florida.

Edmundo was a very hardworking and affectionate man, devoted to his family. He

was also an active member of the Catholic community and actively participated in

Holy Rosary Church and in Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church in Miami

Gardens.

Edmundo, will forever remain in the memories and hearts of his entire family. He is

survived by his wife Charito and children Monica (and husband Marcos) Gonzalez,

Rene (and wife Vivian), Jaime, Diego, Javier, and David. He is also survived by ten

grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
