Dianna Jones

Dianna Jones, age 74, went to be with the Lord on December 26, 2021 in Pembroke Pines, FL after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born on December 24, 1947 in Owensboro, KY to Joseph and Wilma Trodglen. Her family moved to Opa-Locka, FL where she later graduated from Hialeah High School. Dianna retired after a successful career as a Kindergarten Teacher and Director at North Miami Baptist Academy. She was an active member of The Bridge Church where she volunteered with the MOPPETS childcare program. Her talents were many, she loved to sing and make crafts with children, and you could always find her donned in purple.

Dianna was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Wilma Trodglen; brother-in-law, Frank Carroll; nephew, Joey Carroll; and sister, Rhonda Brown. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Thomas Jones; daughters, Kimberly Jones, Kelley Jones and her wife, Chris, and Samantha Jones-Hampton and her husband Casey; 4 grandsons, Tylor, Daniel, Dominic, and Noah; 2 granddaughters, Michaela and Caylee; 1 step granddaughter, Charlie; 2 great grandchildren, Maisy and Carter; sister, Brenda Carroll; brother, Ralph Gleason and his wife, Christine; sister-in-law, Brenda Diaz; brother-in-law, Gregory Brown; brother-in-law Ronald Jones and his wife, Shirley; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial gathering on Thursday, December 30th, 2021. The viewing will be held from 6-8 PM followed by a short service at Vista Memorial Gardens located at 14200 NW 57th Avenue, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made in memory of Dianna Jones to the Kay Yow Cancer Fund for breast cancer research (https://support.kayyow.com/give/303125/#!/donation/checkout).
