Dawn S. Lee, 74, of Miami Lakes, FL, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2026. Her close family will be saying goodbye at a small private prayer service, and details for her funeral mass which will be held at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Miami Lakes where she was a long time faithful parishioner will be shared later this month so all who loved her may attend. 

Dawn was born on January 9, 1952 in Guyana. She graduated from Cal State Fullerton and was an accountant for many years. Dawn loved music, playing the piano, and art. She loved nature, and gardening, and her cats that were very dear to her. Dawn was a long time parishioner at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church where she loved serving as both a lector and a devoted catechist.

Dawn is survived by her daughter Crystel (Aramis) Calderon and three grandchildren: Arabelle, Ilyana, and Lysander, her mother Johanna Lee and siblings: Wendel, Brian, Faith, and Kim; nieces and nephews: Emmanuelle (Kurt) Bennet, Johann (Natalie) Lee, Gabrielle Lee, and many loved extended family and friends. She will forever remain in the hearts of those who love her.

Dawn was deeply religious and had a strong prayer life and faith, and it is with our shared faith that we know she is home in heaven with God, our Lord and Father.

In lieu of flowers, we ask you to donate to a local cat charity in her honor.
