Clara Pandiello Mas

Clara Pandiello Mas passed away on December 18, 2022 at the age of 86.  She was born in Havana, Cuba on August 12, 1936 to Eloy Pandiello and Marta Soto.  On February 28, 1952 she married Oscar M. Mas.  He preceded her in death in 2015.  They were married for 63 years and had five children.

Clara was 24 years old when she moved from Havana, Cuba to Miami, Florida in 1961 where she joined her husband and raised their five children.
She loved to sing and had a contagious laugh.  She also loved to play dominoes and the challenge of winning.  Her favorite flower was the gardenia.

She is survived by her children, Marta C. Schreiter (James) of Wimberley, TX; Miriam Proto (Donald) of Cape Coral, FL; Oscar E. Mas (Beatriz) of Miami, FL; Victor Mas of Miami, FL; and Linda Perez of Miami Lakes, FL; nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Lilia Pandiello de Soto of Floriano, Brazil.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.  She was also preceded by son-in-law Sgt. Edward Perez.

A memorial service for Clara Mas will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church in Miami Lakes, FL.  Burial will follow at Vista Memorial Gardens in Miami Lakes, FL.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church or La Ermita de la Caridad (Our Lady of Charity).
