Celestina Esperanza Morfa


We are sad to announce the passing of Celestina Esperanza Morfa, of Hollywood, Florida.  Esperanza died on Thursday, March 30, 2023 at the age of 98.  At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her loved ones


Celestina was born on May 24, 1924 in Pinar de Rio, Cuba. She was the daughter of the late Victor Pineda and Ramona Pereda and one of ten siblings. Celestina was a loving, wife, sister, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and most of all the matriarch of her entire family.


All that knew Celestina knew her determination for living life to the fullest. She was an accomplished seamstress, a gifted spiritualist and a trusted friend.  Celestina was preceded in death by her husband Noel Morfa.  She is survived by her loving companion Pedro Blanco and her only child, Mercedes Lamas and her husband Rolando Lamas of Hollywood along with four grandchildren Mercedes Navamuel, Lazara Lamas, Liliana Lamas and Barbara Lukas as well as 6 great grandchildren.


The immediate family will be receiving extended family and friends on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at the Vista Funeral Home, 5755 NW 142 St., Miami Lakes, Fl 33014 from 5:30 - 9:00 PM.  The funeral and interment will be held on April 6, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the same venue.
