Cecil Harrow, 94, of Miami Gardens, FL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
He was born to the late Virginia and Eustace Harrow on Jan. 26, 1932, in Clarendon, Jamaica. Cecil obtained a master's degree in Theology from Christian Liberty Academy and Theological Seminary. He was married to the love of his life, the late Erma Harrow. Their marriage produced eight children, two of whom predeceased him.
He worked as an HVAC Technician at Winn-Dixie stores throughout South Florida before continuing employment with the Dade County School Board until his retirement. In addition to his regular job, he also worked as a realtor and was widely respected for his knowledge of the local real estate market.
He was actively involved in his local church assembly as an Elder. He also served in various ministries, such as prison ministry, nursing home ministry, and evangelism outreach.
He volunteered with VITAS, where he enjoyed visiting patients, offering them encouragement, and praying with them.
He was also a member of his local Toast Master’s club and enjoyed the fellowship while developing communication and leadership skills.
His favorite sports were cricket and soccer, both of which he played recreationally when he was younger.
During their retirement, he and Erma traveled to several countries and enjoyed cruises to the Caribbean islands.
He will be remembered for his deep love of God, his devotion to family, and the kindness he showed to everyone he encountered.
Cecil is survived by six children: Darlene, Conrad (Donna), Clyde, Christopher (Linda), Grace & Esther; nine grandchildren: Stephen (Rossy), James (Janet), Shawn, Devonte, Kristyn, Karla, Brittanie, Amber & Angelena; seven great-grandchildren: Daijah, Juwell, Janai, Nicholas (Adriana), Natalia, Micah & Noelia; and two great-great-grandchildren, Nico and Israel.
