Billy Byrd Key Jr., born in Mount Airy, North Carolina March 21, 1945, went to be with the Lord and was reunited with his beloved wife, Linda Sue Key, on April 15, 2026. A longtime resident of Hialeah, Florida, Billy lived a full life filled with humor and deep love for his family and friends.

Billy proudly served his country in the United States Army, carrying the same sense of dedication and strength into all areas of his life. He was warm and funny and was happiest racing cars, woodworking, fishing and spending time just being with his wife and daughters. He was blessed with amazing parents, the love of his brother Michael Key and lived long enough to hold two daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren in his arms.

He is survived by his devoted daughters, Kelly Walker and Tammy Key, his brother Michael Key, his grandchildren Ashley Walker, John Walker, Caitlin Walker and Michael Johnston, his great grandchildren August Wilson, Allura Wilson and Koa Guzman and the many loved ones and friends who will forever cherish his memory.

He will be missed and loved forever.
