Antonio M. Cantillo, 75, of Hialeah, Florida, died peacefully at home on Thursday, February 19th, 2026, with his family and caregiver by his side. Antonio had been declining in health for some time due to a weak heart.
He was born to the late Antonio J. Cantillo and the late Concepcion Paradoa on February 19th, 1951, in Havana, Cuba. He arrived in the United States in 1980 and became a U.S. citizen in 1996. He married Maureen Morejon in 1982, and they lived together in Hialeah. Their son, Anthony, was born in 1992. Antonio was a dedicated father and husband and will be greatly missed by both.
Antonio is survived by his wife, Maureen Cantillo, and his son, Anthony Cantillo; sisters in law Maritza (Richard) Caputo, of Tavernier; Marlene Morejon, of Miami; Magda de la Cruz, of Palm Springs North; and Miriam (Alfredo) Horta, of Coral Springs. He is also survived by nieces Lissette Iturbe-Gonzalez, Jennifer Schwarz, Teresa Schwarz Dager, Christine de la Cruz, and a nephew, Eduardo Gonzalez. He is also survived by numerous grand nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to his longtime caregiver, Zenaida Guerra, for her loyal dedication to Antonio and his family.
