BRANT, Angela Maria Montania, of Hialeah, Florida died at the age of 100 at the Vitas Hospice Unit in the Hialeah Hospital, on February 27th, 2014. Angela was cared for during her last few weeks by her step son James Brant and her most beloved friend Beverly Morrison. Angela was born in Anoia, Calabria, Italy in 1913 and arrived on Ellis Island, New York on 3 August 1920 with her Mother Teresa Bruno Sibbio, Brothers Giuseppe and Giovanni Sibbio. The family was greeted by Angela's Father Dominico Antonio Sibbio of Akron, OH. She was predeceased by her husband Leo Rodman Brant in 1989, Her mother Teresa in 1921, her father Domenico in 1973, brothers Joseph (Giuseppe) and John(Giovanni) of Akron. She is survived by her daughter Camille Brant who has lived with Angie for her 67 years, and her step son James L. Brant and wife Pamela of Hallandale, FL, Sister Theresa and Sam Gilio of Greer, SC, grandsons Vernon & Debbie Brant of Virginia Beach, VA, Victor & Rachel Brant of Madison, AL, great grandsons Robert and Stephanie Brant of Chesapeake , VA, Colton Brant of Virginia Beach, VA, great granddaughters Selena and Shannon White of Madison, AL, great great grand daughter Anna Caroline Brant of Chesapeake, VA, niece Barbara Ford of Akron, OH, nephews Jim Sibbio of Akron, OH, Mark Gilio of CA, David Gilio of CT and several cousins too long to list. Angie in her early years during World War II worked as a label riveter in the cockpits of airplanes because she was small enough to get into those tight spots. In New Jersey she worked with the abandoned and non adopted children at the Childrens Home and has been involved in many aspects serving the disabled over the years by her services at Landmark Disability Center in Hialeah, FL and organizing functions for the disabled groups in South Florida. She always catered to needs of the disabled not only in her services but also in her donations to the organizations like the North Dade Bowlers she developed and organized for several years providing outlets for the kids entertainment. Annual Cruises and Christmas Parties were great remembrances for all who attended that took care of our young disabled (as we all called them our KIDS).
